I’m Leonie, the person behind Millefolium. I’m a gardener, agroforestry enthusiast, herbalist, wild crafter, and aroma practitioner.
My journey with plants began in childhood, spending countless hours outdoors, exploring the environment around me. Nature has always been my sanctuary—a place where I could fully be myself and uncover the many layers of life.
After an enriching journey in New Zealand, I developed a profound interest in food and nutrition, which led me to study Food and Agribusiness in the Netherlands. During this time, I immersed myself in the world of farming, working on diverse farms, participating in field visits, and conducting research in agroecology and agroforestry.
Through these experiences, I came to see regenerative farming as a vital solution to our climate crisis. Working outdoors with the soil, plants, and all the natural elements nourished me deeply, both physically and spiritually. While I recognize agriculture as a crucial pathway toward a regenerative future, discovering the nutritional and healing properties of wild plants opened an entirely new world to me—one that has profoundly shaped the work I do today.
My work is rooted in my extensive farming experience, my training as a herbal educator and aromatherapist, and my ongoing studies in Energetic Western Herbalism and human anatomy. Just as in nature, where no process occurs in isolation, I approach herbalism and plant-based practices from a holistic perspective.
I love sharing my passion for plants and am reminded continously that this field is endless and that I will be a student of nature till the rest of my life. The interaction with plants is not just work for me, it is my passion and my life.
